McCune Wright Arevalo, LLP, is investigating what appears to be Tiny Lab’s practice through their gaming apps for collecting personal information on children and sharing this information with third parties to create a more targeted marketing campaign directed at the children playing the games. While the parents and children think they are playing a simple free game online, it is alleged that Tiny Lab’s profits by use of embedded code that collects and transmits information like, location of the device, the child demographics, play patterns and online activity, and then shares this information with third party companies like Google and Twitter who allegedly target market to these children. If our investigation confirms this process is occurring, is not only unethical, and could potentially endanger children, it would violate state and federal law.
